1) I waddle like a duck and it takes twice as long to walk to and from the car, around the shopping centre etc. as what it would normally take me.
2) Fear of my waters breaking everywhere whilst in public.
3) And to be brutally honest - I can't be stuffed.
Today has been an exception. We went to Mount Field National Park for a picnic to celebrate me turning another year older as of tomorrow. We wanted to get there early and be home before the heat really kicked in, so we left home at 10am. We ate lots of yummy food (until the point where we felt like we were going to bust!) and spent time as a family and it couldn't have been more perfect! After our picnic, we went on a 25 minute walk to Russel Falls. Lucas walked the first part so we were constantly stopping as he wanted to look at the water and fish. He really made it more enjoyable for us because he was getting so excited about the water! He done so well to walk as far as he did with his chubby little bubby legs that I adore. I had a beautiful day all thanks to my little family :)
A few photos from our adventure today!
I have been amazed by Lucas again this week. I discovered that he knows the difference between hot and cold. He has been putting more words together to form sentences and really shocked my Mum and I when he blurted out "na, give it to Tig". His memory is insane! He only has to see something once and associate a word with it and he can tell us about it weeks afterwards. We took him to Harvey Norman to get a photo with Santa (just the once) over a month ago and every time he sees the Harvey Norman sign he tells us "ho ho". Lucas has also done two number 2's in the toilet this week - sorry for sharing with the world Lucas, but you make me want to brag about you because you are sooo amazing!
Speaking of amazing, I have to include a shout-out to my wonderful "Due In April" forum/facebook group buddies. They are the greatest bunch of women ever and have made this journey (which has sometimes been a little testing and painful) really enjoyable for me and I hope I have given them something similar in return. They have helped me to discover lots of new things which are going to make me a better parent and have been such a great support when things have been tough. A HUGE thank you to every single one of you!!!
This week motherhood has been...... perfect! There are no other words to describe what a joy it is to be a mummy! x
